October is a special month to those who are willing to visit FinTech events in Budapest. You have the chance to visit meetups, conferences and even networking events in the Hungarian capital. A great opportunity to meet not only Hungarian experts but fintech players from the whole continent, is the FinTech Innovation Conference 2016 organised by Privatbankar.hu.
It is the second time Privatbankar.hu organise a fintech-themed event. This year the Fintech Innovation 2016 Conference – which is a whole-day event – will be held on the 27th of October at the Gellert Hotel. Compared to the last event a big innovation of this year is that the conference opens its doors to international speakers and participants, realising the importance of international trends and knowledge sharing. The program will be held in English.
Two thirds of the conference program is devoted to the topic of instant payments. The speakers of the conference are mainly from this area.
Lajos Bartha, Director of the National Bank of Hungary will have the opening speech about the new dimensions of payment services. There will be other Hungarian speakers like Balázs Vinnai in the colors of Mysis, who will provides us insights about the magical abbreviation PSD2 and its future effect on the payments landscape. László Balogh, Deputy Secretary of State, Ministry for National Economy will also shed lights on the PSD2, but concerning the Hungarian market.
The topic Tamás Blummer – Chief Ledger Architect, Digital Asset – covers is blockchain and its connection to payment services. We can also welcome amongst the speakers Ferenc Szász from Ingenico and Zoltán Szeles from Capsys Informatics. Mobile payments could not left out from the program, Péter Benyó CEO at OTP Mobile will speak about the topic.
And here comes the international speaker staff with recognized experts from Europe. There is Kris Kubiana, International Sales Director of Vocalink, who has over 30 years experience in delivering financial service and payments solutions. Another interesting lecture will be Barry Kislingbury‘s, who is the Director Solution Consulting, Immediate Payments at ACI Worldwide. His recent work has included UK Faster Payments solutions, implementation of standards and enabling real time systems around the world. The presentation of Lauren Jones will be about the ISO 20022 standard. Lauren Jones is Head of Standards at Payments UK. She is responsible for coordinating payment standards activities on behalf of Payments UK, its members and other key stakeholders.
